After I finished reading Shadowmancer I went online and heard about Wormwood and I could not wait for it to come out. When it did come out I borrowed it from the library on the first day. It took me three days to read it, I absolutely could not put it down. now I plan to buy  Shadowmancer and Wormwood and start a G. P. Taylor collection.

I have just finished Wormwood and of course read Shadowmancer earlier. I
enjoyed them to the max. The war isn't over yet!! Looking for the next book.
I love reading the fantasy and of course the good guy always wins. Keep up
the good work. Is there any time soon you will be in the Milwaukee area for
book signings?
God Bless

Dear Mr G.P Taylor

I'm speechless. I have just finished reading Wormwood and I couldn't believe how amazing and astounding it was. As I read on I realised certain similar things in the characters from both Shadowmancer and Wormwood. I love your stories to bits, they make me forget about everything in the world and draw me in until the very last page.Since I finished your books I find it very difficult to like others now that I have had the cream instead of milk. I beg you to please inform us soon about when tour next book is coming out. Plus the film. You are my hero.

Wormwood is not in the same league as the Harry Potter books (which have
good plots that unfold unexpectedly as well as being witty and exciting); it
is nothing like as well written and evocative as C S Lewis's interplanetary
novels; it is not as imaginative as the better Philip Pullman books such as
Northern Lights and Subtle Knife, but is possibly on a par with the lesser
Pullmans such as Amber Spyglass.

There are too many characters, but no real subplots or twists in the main
plot as it is obvious from the start who are the goodies (or people who will
be redeemed) and who are the baddies, and the latter are cardboard cut-out
figures. Also too many loose ends at the finish.

On the other hand, after a disjointed beginning the story eventually became
fast moving and the second half of the book was quite engrossing.

I believe Taylor does have potential as a writer, but he really needs to
develop his novel writing skills - scene setting/ambience, plot structuring,
and character development.

I finally got around to buying 'Shadowmancer' and as 'Wormwood' had just
come out I bought it at the same time.

I really enjoyed Shadowmancer as I know the Whitby/Robin Hood's Bay area
quite well. I was grateful for the maps, though, particularly of London.
Once I'd started reading I couldn't put the books down.

I think they're both excellent stories, but I have a question about a
paragraph that doesn't make sense to me grammatically. On page 254 of
'Wormwood', second para, third sentence, Abram says, "Living in the past has
to be savoured." Surely, this sentence should say, "Living in the present
has to be savoured.", as he then goes on to say, "Living in the past leads
to bitterness and wanting to be in the future is a waste of life."; he
precedes it by saying, "Each breath is a sacrament of the present moment, it
is precious and unique and has to be savoured." Maybe you could have left
out the third sentence altogether, thus, "Each breath is a sacrament of the
present moment, it is precious and unique and has to be savoured. Living in
the past leads to bitterness, wanting to be in the future is a waste of
life."

Also, it would have been nice if there could have been an explanation of the
chapter titles that are in Latin and what Cabalism is

Looking forward to book #3!.

Dear Mr G.P Taylor.

I can't find words to describe how much I love reading your books. When I first began reading Shadowmancer, I couldn't put it down. The story dragged me in made me want to keep reading until the very last page. The ending was amazing too and I couldn't think of a better book until I picked up Wormwood. As I read on I realised that there were similar characters as in Shadowmancer, like Tegatus was similar to Raphah. I desperatly hope that you write more books, because I will be delighted if you do. I think that the ending of Wormwood was quite sad because Tegatus died, but that gave it the perfect ending. PLEASE wright more books. From your biggest fan,

I've just finished reading Wormwood - what a fantastic book.

It not only is a story worth reading - but you have again challenged spiritual assumptions, and sharpened my mind in what we think the spiritual dimension is like - if we even give time to think about it at all. Thanks for Raphael having backbone (if angels have such things) - and for humour too.

open our eyes to the reality all around us

looking forward to your next book !

(A Big G.P Taylor Fan.)

I am Reading Wormwood at the moment and anybody thinking about buying it should as it is one of the most amazing books I have ever read.

I really like it where Bonham is banging on the door as the dogs are chasing him!

I have got a signed copy of wormwood and it is really special to me.

I really enjoy any of the G.P Taylor books as they are amazing.
